About Us

Mayfield Street is a creative community space that is set in a mid-century warehouse and is driven by a desire for community connection, creative expression, and an open and honest traffic of ideas.

It was created by us, Sally and Michael, siblings who sought some time out from busy and hectic lives and who saw an opportunity to create a space for others to enjoy too. Now Emma Jean manages our Mayfield family and Sophia and Sophie direct our creative, instructive and technical teams.

Our warehouse is big (but no too big) airy and full of light. It opens to the street and includes a gorgeous creative area, a large ceramics studio and a private wood working studio. We always have great music playing, and public domain films showing all day long.

We run adult Clay Soiree’s on the weekends, Pottery School on Monday-Thursday evenings, and offer Private Events for corporate team building, hen’s parties or special occasions at a time to suit you. Kid’s Club happens on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays during the school term. Studio Access is available thru the week and in the evenings.

We are always willing to explore any ideas you may have about things you would like to do with us. If you make movies, write books, make things, share them with us and we will share them with our community too!

And if you are doing it tough, feeling lonely or need a friend but can’t afford one, come hang out for a while anyway. We will always have something for you to do!

See you soon!
