  • Sally Ninham

    As the owner of 2 Mayfield Street, Sally Ninham loves a challenge. In a previous life she was an Australian athlete, a published author and a mother of five children. Like everyone at Mayfield, Sally loves getting the job done.

  • Michael Ninham

    An old fashioned gentleman and beautiful craftsman with a fine attention to detail Michael is our number one ideas man. He makes our space cool with images and shadows that you may not even realize are shaping your time with us.

  • Emma McKay

    Our gorgeous manager Emma Jean McKay loves and lives all things design. Currently working on The Shop Emma keep the whole place (and all of us) in line and pumping positive while also meeting the needs of our community with patience and efficiency.

  • Sophie Fox

    One of our lead craftspeople and manager of our technical operations and OHS, Sophie’s attention to detail ensures that Mayfield Street strives for a gold standard in its operations at all times. Sophie has an undergrduate degree n fine art and a keen eye and a deft hand for the classc and functional forms that feature in our Wares on Victoria Stteet.

  • Sophia Thompson

    A beautiful wheel thrower and talented teacher, Sophia has an undergraduate degree in Fine Art. As one of our lead craftspeople Sophia shapes both the design of our upcoming ceramics range and the mood of our space with a commitment to a calm, considered and collaborative energy that demands respect. Sophia also runs our Pottery School and manages our front studio.

  • Amber Macklin

    A talented sculptor and hand builder, Amber Macklin has many years of experience across the ceramic arts and takes a keen interest in organic and folk forms. Amber helps to create our ceramic range and teaches Sculpture in our Sculpture School on Tuesday evenings.

  • Angelo Ooi

    Angelo is a contemporary ceramic artist who is passionate about traditional ceramic skills of wheel throwing and glaze chemistry. Angelo’s work is inspired by his Australian and Malaysian Chinese background, in particular elegant Chinese vases, and rich copper red glazes of the Ming dynasty. He loves glaze testing and finding unique surfaces and textures which tell a story. Angelo teaches our Sunday community wheel throwing classes and enjoys the chill weekend vibes. He also makes the beautiful glazes used in the studio at Mayfield.

  • Mariya Bakay

    Mariya Bakay is central to our technical team and brings her unbeatable work ethic to meet the demands of our busy studio. Never one to shy from a challenge, Mariya makes sure that we meet the needs of our ever growing community on time and in top form.

  • Nathan Collis

    Dubbed the “Dark Horse of Mayfield Street” Nathan Collis brings his beastly work ethic and superb eye for colour and style to The Studio and now The Shop. Nathan comes to us from six years running film festivals in Vietnam. Together with Mariya he keeps us meeting the needs of the community we serve

  • Tina Rose

    Tina Rose joins us every Thursday to help out with trimming pieces from our Clay Soiree Classes and to teach wheel throwing at our kids classes. She has an extensive background in arts and education , having working with children in juvenile detention centre’s. When she’s not working with clay she’s up a tree or in the shrubs.
