  • 4 Week Wheel Throwing Courses

    4 week course - $270/ once per week (Inclusive of gst)

    $66 per week, 2 hours per week, maximum 12 participants)

    Our 4 week course is a great way to immerse yourself in the pottery journey without too much commitment or hip pocket agony! Learn the basics of wedging, centring, throwing, trimming and glazing. Take home some gorgeous work and come back for more!

    Included? Use of wheel and tools, firing, and basic clay materials. Decorating and glazing materials will also be included.

    You can purchase your own clay and additional decorating products should you wish to explore further, and our instructors will be happy to help guide you when you use them.

    What should you bring? Your own towel and APRON.

    BYO is welcome. Our studio is a collaborative space where we often share a cup of tea, a glass of wine and a snack together to relax and enjoy winding down together at the end of the day.

    What should I wear? Come in casual clothes. It will be messy and Covered shoes are essential!

  • 6 Week Wheel Throwing Course

    6 Week course $430/ once per week (inclusive of gst)

    $66 per week, 2 hours per week, maximum 12 participants)

    Our 6 week course will stretch your skills and prepare you for your own journey with pottery. You will learn how to wedge, centre, throw, trim and glaze your ceramic pieces while creating cylinder and cup forms, bowls and some more challenging shapes by the end of the course.

    Intermediate or return students will be challenged further, creating more difficult forms like plates and vases.

    Included? Use of wheel and tools, firing, basic clay materials, decorating and glazing materials. You can purchase your own clay and additional decorating products should you wish to explore further, and our instructors will be happy to help guide you when you use them.

  • Handbuilding and Sculpture Course

    $430 / 6 weeks / once per week (inclusive of gst)

    $66 per week, 2 hours per week, maximum 12 participants)

    Join our experienced teacher Amber in our sculpture course at Mayfield Pottery School.

    Knowledge required?

    Beginners: None!

    Intermediate or Return Students: Just your previous knowledge!
