Firing Service

$10 minimum on all firing

Bisque (weighed before firing)—$10 per kilo

Cone 6 mid-fire and Cone 9, Stoneware (oxidation)—$10 per kilo

Glaze Dipping or underglaze use PLUS firing = $20 per kilo.

Our firing service fires to earthenware, mid-fire and stoneware temperatures. We are able to fire works depending on kiln and temperature availability. Our kiln technicians will carefully load your pieces into the kiln, and out of the kiln onto our public firing shelf. All other stages of the making process are up to the maker. Please make sure your works are labelled carefully on the base, and that the glaze is appropriately wiped off the base and up the sides of the work.

If the kiln or kiln shelves are damaged by unstable glazing or incorrect firing instructions you will be liable for any damages incurred. Please bring your own cookie if you are in any doubt.

Additionally, if you are unsure whether your work is suitable for firing with us, or have any questions, get in touch below.

On arrival, you’ll be asked to fill out a firing form, so that we have all the appropriate information and can fire your pieces to the best of our ability!
